Splash Park

On Saturday I had to work and afterwards Andrew and Addie came to meet me at the new splash park area in downtown St. George. As soon as Addie saw the water she started moving her hands up and down and was so excited to go play. When she got near the water it all turned off and so we had to wait for it to come on again. While we were waiting she ventured to the middle of the circle and right then the water came on full blast. She came running back to me so fast, it was really funny. Addie went right back in, though, she loves the water and just kept waving her arms and smiling at everyone. It was a nice day but not super hot and after playing for a while she started shivering so we decided to call it a day. When we tried to dry her off and put her in the car she threw a fit and it took both of us to get her into the car seat. I'm pretty sure we will be visiting the splash park a lot this summer.

Easter in Vegas

Andrew picked Addie and I up from the airport in Las Vegas on Saturday and we stayed over at the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino. We enjoyed lunch at In-n-Out and dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. We tried to go swimming in between but the water was pretty chilly. Addie enjoyed running around in her swimming suit and saying hi to all the people out sunbathing. Addie loved running around the hotel room and discovered how to escape the room so we had to put a bench in front of the door.

Andrew was kind enough to be the Easter Bunny this year since I was gone the whole week before to Arizona. He brought us each an Easter basket filled with candy and a present. Addie was very excited for her push toy and the candy. She was even more excited to be in the hotel room and woke up at 5:45 am ready to play.

After we got back from Vegas we went over to Andrew's sister's house for Easter dinner and an egg hunt. Addie was not quite sure about the searching for eggs, she was more excited about running free outside. When she did discover there were eggs in her bucket she would just take them out and drop them on the ground. We had a fun Easter this year and hope everyone else did also.

Phoenix Fun

Addie and I enjoyed a week in Phoenix visiting Addie's cousins. The weather was so nice and by the end of the week it was 85 degrees! Addie had so much fun having someone to entertain her and play with her all week long. She enjoyed all of the new toys and the stairs, especially. We had a lot of fun setting up the Little People village and Addie loved the sounds all the toys made especially the barn when the cow mooed.
Addie and Tanner enjoyed walks around the neighborhood while the other kids were in school. We enjoyed the cool morning weather before it was too hot. We saw lots of ducks in the lakes and had fun seeing all of the people walking their dogs.
We had a lot of fun going to the Phoenix Zoo on Friday. This was Addie's first trip to a zoo and I think it wore her out, because by the end she was asleep in her stroller. The zoo has a farm section and Addie enjoyed playing with her cousins in the barn and on the tractor. She had an opportunity to pet some goats, but I was reluctant to help her and so robbed her of such fun.

We are so glad we could spend this week in Phoenix, it was a good time.

Blogger in Training

I am currently learning how to change all the backgrounds and create new blog headers for our blog. Andrew has done it previously but I am going to take a hand at it. Hence the half-changed design so far. I am working on a header and like a rookie did not save what I had done periodically and the program shut down with no warning. Lame. I have to start all over and am mad at the computer now, so maybe tomorrow it will look better. Or maybe later tonight because it is driving me crazy.

Such a Slacker

I am turning into one of those people who doesn't update their blogs regularly and that drives me crazy. Addie and I enjoyed a fun trip up north to visit family and friends. We are heading to Arizona for a week in a couple of days and so I promise to get back in the blogging world soon. The weather is just too nice down here to stay inside for very long!
