My sister gave me some fun ideas to do with Addie to help us make it through the dreary month of January. Addie was so excited to do each activity, I didn't get pictures of all of them though. We are somewhat glad January is over, at least I am. I am ready for spring and wish it was here. Addie is going stir crazy I think for she is bouncing off the walls most days and yesterday in a parking lot she was running in circles saying "I just want to run in a circle". We also found her in Izze's car seat one day pretending to be a baby.

Six Months
Izze has reached the six month mark, crazy. She is a very happy and content baby unless she is hungry or tired. Izze loves to fall asleep with a blanket covering her face, and she loves to eat her rice cereal. If she can sense there is food other than her bottle she will have nothing to do with her bottle. Izze's bottom two teeth finally came in and she is much happier now. She rolls over all the time and loves to play with her toys, if she can't find toys her socks will do. She is in the 97th percentile for height and 85th for weight!!! Izze has made a habit of waking up around 3:30 am and talking to herself in the crib, if only she could wait one more hour then I wouldn't have to use an alarm :)

Killing Time
Izze loves playing in her exersaucer and her jumper (no picture). She loves to put anything she can get into her mouth and is cutting two bottom teeth!Izze loves to sit up and see what is going on around the house, she is very easily distracted and has a hard time drinking her bottle without seeing what Addie is up to at all times.
Addie loves playing with her new dollhouse and wishes her friend Maddie was her to play with her, she talks about her all the time. I don't think a day has gone by that she hasn't said she wants to go back to St. George and wonders where the sun is, I always have to say it is hiding behind the clouds (aka nasty inversion).
Addie loves to go outside any chance she gets and being the paranoid mother I am, I bundle her up to where she is probably sweating!

Snow Daze
As I was looking through our pictures I realized I forgot to post some of our snow pictures from when we first moved here. Addie was so excited to go out and help Andrew shovel, I bundled her up good and she loved throwing snowballs at the window. Yes, Andrew still thinks he lives in St. George as he cannot give up his shorts just yet.

Monkeying Around
Addie and Izze have the same monkey pajamas, and Addie thinks it is so fun when she matches Izze. Anytime Addie sees that something matches she likes to hit it and say "cheers". It's pretty funny and I have to say she is pretty observant to notice when something is the same that I didn't even see.

Five Months
I never thought when Izze was five months old that we would be living in the frozen tundra! Izze rolled over a few weeks ago and we were so excited, but she didn't make a habit out of it for she hasn't done it since. She started eating rice cereal and she loves it! She is constantly watching us eat and loves it when it is her turn. Yesterday we tried squash and she ate a lot of it. Izze loves to growl really loud if she wants your attention and she is full of giggles and smiles. She loves to watch everything Addie does, I'm sure she is storing it all in memory to try it on us someday.

Christmas Festivities
We had my family Christmas party the weekend before Christmas. We had a yummy dinner, of course. Then the kids decorated Christmas trees, had a talent show where Addie wore her cape, that her friend Maddie's Grandma made for her, and did a little wiggle dance that I later figured out she learned from "Dora". We played a white elephant game and we had a goodie table where Addie decided to plop herself in front of and enjoy herself! My cute niece made all of these fun cork board displays for us, I am so excited to use it, thanks Tess!
We started doing a family exchange this year and we each drew names. Addie drew Izze's name and loved picking out a toy for her, although I think she wanted the toy more :) Andrew and I ended up getting each other the same thing, just a different design--Adidas beanies since it so cold up here!
We were excited to spend Christmas together in our new home. I was especially excited for Addie's Santa present, it was so fun to set up and get ready. Although I was sick on Christmas with some sort of stomach flu, we still had a good day. When Addie woke up and came to the top of the stairs to see the dollhouse, she said "Oh thank you thank you". She was so excited and was so appreciative of all the presents she opened. Her favorite is the family van that goes with the dollhouse, the doors open and it plays music, what more could a little girl ask for. Unfortunately since I wasn't feeling well we don't have very many pictures, bummer :(
