Merry Christmas

I know I am a day late, but here is a recap of our Christmas day activities. Andrew was so excited for Christmas morning, he woke up at 4:00 am! I made him go back to sleep after he starting singing Christmas songs. Addie was pretty much expressionless as she saw her new play kitchen, but she started getting excited as she played with the bows and wrapping paper.
We enjoyed spending the day together as a family and playing with our new toys. We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve at Zion's National Park

We went to Zion's National Park on Christmas Eve Eve and came home on Christmas Eve. It was fun to see some snow on the tops of the rocks and mountains. We enjoyed going in the hot tub in the cold weather. Addie loved roaming around the hotel room and destroying everything in sight. She thought it was so fun to be in a new place she decided she didn't need to sleep most of the night, which was so enjoyable. We had so much fun it just might be a new tradition for our family.

Christmas Time

We attempted to take a family picture by the Christmas tree, but it didn't work out so much. This year the tree was in the corner in between the couch and the entertainment center in hopes that Addie would not destroy it. The placement worked for the most part, except when trying to take a picture by it. Oh well, maybe next year...

Strong Girl, Pink Bench, and Baskets

Addie likes to clench her fists and shake her whole body which we have termed "strong girl". Most of the time when we say it she will do strong girl on demand. It is rather funny and whoever witnesses gets a kick out of it. She tends to do it more when she is mad or when someone is trying to take something away from her.

Addie also loves to sit on her pink bench. She loves to climb onto it and hold onto the back with both hands behind her. When her friends come over to play, they also like to sit on the bench with her. We went to a friend's house the other day where they had a time out bench. She went directly for it and sat on it, we have trained her well.

Addie loves to sit in her toy baskets. She will climb into them and play for a while. It is hilarious to watch her climb in and out. She also loves climbing into the drawer on the entertainment center where we keep her books. She will sit and read there for a bit and then she discovers she is stuck and starts to cry.

Suckers

Yes, that's right we have been suckered into the blogging world. Oh great guns, we just wanted to be like everyone else! And yes, we would jump off a cliff if everyone else did too. If anything this blog will help us remember what we did and document Addie's new tricks, because I sure haven't been writing them down like a good mom would. So here's to the blogging world and we'll see how we do in it.
