Five Months

I never thought when Izze was five months old that we would be living in the frozen tundra! Izze rolled over a few weeks ago and we were so excited, but she didn't make a habit out of it for she hasn't done it since. She started eating rice cereal and she loves it! She is constantly watching us eat and loves it when it is her turn. Yesterday we tried squash and she ate a lot of it. Izze loves to growl really loud if she wants your attention and she is full of giggles and smiles. She loves to watch everything Addie does, I'm sure she is storing it all in memory to try it on us someday.

Christmas Festivities

We had my family Christmas party the weekend before Christmas. We had a yummy dinner, of course. Then the kids decorated Christmas trees, had a talent show where Addie wore her cape, that her friend Maddie's Grandma made for her, and did a little wiggle dance that I later figured out she learned from "Dora". We played a white elephant game and we had a goodie table where Addie decided to plop herself in front of and enjoy herself! My cute niece made all of these fun cork board displays for us, I am so excited to use it, thanks Tess!We started doing a family exchange this year and we each drew names. Addie drew Izze's name and loved picking out a toy for her, although I think she wanted the toy more :) Andrew and I ended up getting each other the same thing, just a different design--Adidas beanies since it so cold up here!
We were excited to spend Christmas together in our new home. I was especially excited for Addie's Santa present, it was so fun to set up and get ready. Although I was sick on Christmas with some sort of stomach flu, we still had a good day. When Addie woke up and came to the top of the stairs to see the dollhouse, she said "Oh thank you thank you". She was so excited and was so appreciative of all the presents she opened. Her favorite is the family van that goes with the dollhouse, the doors open and it plays music, what more could a little girl ask for. Unfortunately since I wasn't feeling well we don't have very many pictures, bummer :(

The Big Move

We woke up to snow in St. George on moving day! In our almost five years here we have only seen it snow maybe once each year, how fitting that it would snow on our final day.We started loading the truck and Addie loved running up and down the ramp and carrying boxes into the truck. The whole drive to Salt Lake Addie wanted to ride in the big truck and kept asking where it was if we weren't right by it. (She did get to ride it in when Andrew returned it to the rental place, she thought it was so cool and still talks about the big truck.)Here is a glimpse of a smidgen of our stuff in the new place. After a little over a week here we are pretty much settled, there are still a few things I can't seem to find. We are excited to be together as a family again, but super sad to leave all of our wonderful friends and family in St. George, we will miss you!!! We will also miss the sun, Addie keeps asking me where the sun is, I forget how dreary it is up here in the winter :(

Final Days

The last week we were in St. George we spent time hanging out with our walking friends Laura, Maddie, and Mia. We are going to miss them so much, in fact we already do miss them so much. Today as we were driving through all the snow and slush Addie said "I want to go back to St. George Mama." We miss our walking friends and love you guys so much :)

Catch Up

We have been crazy busy the last couple of weeks with the move and so I am a bit behind on posting so I am going to try and catch up in the next couple of days with some mass blogging :)
I have some random pictures of the girls while Andrew was working. Addie loves climbing in the crib with Izze and "hugging" her, I would call it smothering her.Addie had fun playing with the Harmons stickers, keep her busy for about 20 minutes, it was so nice.Addie had fun playing dress-up with Izze.

Naughty or Nice?

The other day we went to see Santa in the mall, what a difference a year makes as Addie actually sat on Santa's lap; I think it helped that her friend Maddie was not shy at all and went right up to Santa with no hesitation. Her request to Santa for Christmas is a big toy and a small toy. We watched "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" last night and she had all sorts of questions. This morning when she woke up she asked if Santa was awake and where he lives. It is fun this year as she understands more and is excited to see the Christmas lights outside, now if we only could put up our Christmas tree...
