Family Reunion

Last weekend we went to my family reunion up north. We all met at the Murray Fun Days Parade on July 4th. Addie had a lot of fun watching the floats and helping her cousins pick up the loads of candy that was tossed at us. In the afternoon we were at my sister's house and there was fun for all with a bounce house, swimming pool, wiffle ball, water balloon launching, a yummy BBQ, and a sweet fireworks show to end the day. Addie loved playing in the bounce house and throwing the water balloons on the grass. She enjoyed the fireworks at first when they were silent. When some made noise she snuggled her head on my shoulder or tried to run away from the fireworks. As we were cleaning up and everyone was leaving Addie decided she needed one last dip in the pool and went in clothes and all. She had a blast and just kept splashing and sitting on her bum.

On Saturday we went on a hike at Cascade Springs, it was so pretty and green in Provo Canyon. Addie kept trying to get into the water on the hike. She enjoyed walking all by herself. She especially loved her snack bag and had to hold it herself and pick out all the M&M's. We also went swimming later that day at a pool in Orem. Later that night we watched "Peter Pan" outside. We camped in my sister's backyard and I was surprised at how cold it gets at night, it was kind of refreshing.
We finished off the reunion by going to Lagoon on Monday. We had a blast and Addie did better than we thought she would do. I took her on Puff the Magic Dragon and she had a scared look on her face the whole time. When it was over she said "out" immediately. She enjoyed the carousel and the train, although she was kind of scared on the train and snuggled her head into my shoulder again. The highlight of her day was the little tugboats. She rode with my niece, Heidi, and she had so much fun. She would turn the wheel and ding the bell. As soon as the ride was over she would say "more, more". It was so fun to watch her ride in the boat. We had such a good time the whole day, we loved the new ride Wicked, it truly is wicked fun. We also rode the Rattlesnake Rapids three times in a row, I was quite dripping with water after the third run. We stayed until closing and Addie was asleep in the car before we got on the freeway.

It looks like you had so much fun! I think we went to Cascade Springs the other day too. Were there a lot of yellow flowers? We got to it through American Fork Canyon. Maybe I'm crazy. Thats very possible.

How fun Anna! I haven't thought about taking Addy to Lagoon but it looks like it is a must. I am glad you had so much fun up here for your reunion.

That sounds like your family knows how to party too! Parker loves bounce houses. Did they just rent one? I haven't been to Lagoon forever. I wonder if Parker would like some of those little rides. I know that he would like those little boats.

I agree with everyone else. Your family reunion and trip to Lagoon both look like so much fun!

Did you see Heather and Reed. If so, tell them hello from us. Reed is still top on my list of favorite gospel doctrine teachers I've ever had! He actually made it funny!
