Last week we took a trip to San Diego for a few days. Even though the weather was a bit chilly we still managed to have a lot of fun and even make it to a few beaches. We went to an old war museum where they had all the old planes on display and a little one for Addie to sit in, she loved turning the handles and thought it was cool.
Addie was on her own eating schedule, she never wanted to eat when we did and so we were forced to get her a kid's meal at McDonalds which she ate in the car and managed to get it just about everywhere.
We went to Mission Beach in the afternoon one day and it was so cold, but we still wanted to walk on the beach. Addie was so excited to go near the water and she ran right into the waves. She quickly turned around though and ran back, because it was so cold. We were both soaked by then and shivering, but it was fun.
We walked down by the Harbor and saw all of the boats and ships. We also went to Seaport Village where we enjoyed looking at all the tourist shops.
On our last day there the sun finally came out and we went to Coronado Beach. It was pretty and the sand was so nice. Addie loved playing in the sand and being buried in it. She was a bit leary about the water this time though, she only went in after much coaxing and did not stay long this time. We ate dinner at a fun diner that night in Coronado. We really enjoyed San Diego!

Love that last picture there! You guys do such fun trips, we are planning on coming to Yellowstone next summer (2009) with the boys, but you guys do such fun things all the time! You guys are so spontaneous!
I love the daddy/daughter picture on the beach. It's not like you couldn't tell she is his daughter - she looks exactly like him but with a touch of beauty thrown in from you. I love that you just went to San Diego. You guys are awesome travelers! I am jealous. One of these days we are just going to make it down there to drop in on you guys. I think Garth has Drew withdrawls sometimes. Addie is getting so big! Miss you guys!
I was in SanDiego last week too. It was pretty cold. My in-laws said it was nice and warm the week before. We missed the sun I guess. I think it was warmer in St George. I guess you left the warmth to go to the beach.
That looks like a fun trip. Addie is so cute and it looks like she is getting so big!

That's funny. I didn't know there was other stuff to do in San Diego besides going to a baseball game. We went to San Diego a year ago but it was of course to go watch the Cubs play the Padres. They do have a cool baseball stadium I have to admit. I do love San Diego though. We didn't have the warmest weather when we were there either but it looks like you still had lots of fun!
Austin missed Addie in nursery, especially since it what the first week Addie could be in there without you guys! Oh well, maybe next week, or the week after...
Oh, that trips look great! I am so glad you had fun and had some semi-good weather. I can't wait until I can take Addy to the beach....
