Wednesday morning, July 29, I was awakened by the sensation of wetting the bed (sorry to be so honest) and then I remembered I was pregnant and realized that my water just may have broken. Upon further investigation and an amount of shock I realized I would have a little baby by the end of the day. The day before Andrew kept telling me the baby was going to come that day and I ignored him saying she isn't due for two more weeks and I have way too much to do before she comes still. Apparently she wasn't listening and had her own time schedule. We woke up Addie and took her to Laura's house who was so nice to watch her all day--thank you!!! Upon arriving at the hospital they had to confirm that it was really my water that broke-for some reason they didn't think I knew what I was talking about...once that was over the contractions were pretty much unbearable and the rest is history. Izze Reia was born at 10:46 am weighing 8 lbs 5 oz (same as Addie) and 20 inches long. It's crazy to think she is already here, but it is so fun and exhausting. Addie loves being the big sister and is constantly trying to help out with Izze. I am currently suffering from lack of sleep as Izze has her days and nights mixed up, so I hope this made some sort of sense.

Pioneer Day
We had a fun Pioneer Day last week. Addie was up at the crack of dawn and so we decided to take her to the Hidden Valley Park before it got too hot. She had a lot of fun playing and when it did get too hot she ran through the water to cool off. After the park Andrew opted to go golfing and so we went to the Pioneer Day activities at the park with Laura, Maddie, and Mia. The girls had fun decorating balloons, getting their faces painted, doing the bean bag toss and fishing for prizes. We finished off the day with some fireworks. Addie was not afraid of the sparklers this year and loved throwing the smoke bombs in the road. She was a little weary of the noisy fountain fireworks though.

One Final Trip
We went up to SLC yet again a few days ago, and for the last time before the baby comes-at least I think so. My brother and his family were there visiting from Phoenix and I couldn't resist the temptation to be with my family. Andrew was kind enough to make a return trip after being there the weekend before as well.
We rode Trax downtown one day and went to the Church History Museum where the cousins had fun playing in the kid room. They had a pretend hospital nursery set-up with lots of babies and Addie had the time of her life taking care of all the babies. We also walked around downtown and saw all of the construction going on, it was fun to watch. We went to see the floats for the Days of '47 Parade at the Expo Center. Addie thought they were pretty fun, but I think she loved her balloon more. The next day we went swimming in American Fork, but I didn't take any pictures. We had such a good time and I'm glad we could spend some more time with family before the little one arrives.

Lagoon
In addition to the zoo Andrew and Addie also went to Lagoon with Andrew's brother Jed and his family and Grandpa Jensen. I was rather jealous of the trip to Lagoon, but in my pregnant state what could I do but let them go and have fun without me. They arrived when it opened and Addie didn't want to leave until 10:00 pm. She had so much fun riding all of the rides and being with her cousins. After each ride she wanted to either stay on the ride or get back in line to ride it again immediately. It is so strange to see her on some of these rides all by herself, since they are rides I used to go on when I went to Lagoon as a child. There are no pictures of Andrew and Addie on Puff the Magic Dragon but she loved it and even held her hands up for a second-what a daredevil. (You can watch the video at the end of this post and see her on Puff)
Hogle Zoo
Last week Andrew took Addie up north to visit his family and have a daddy/daughter trip. One day they went to Hogle Zoo with Grandpa Jensen. Addie enjoyed seeing the animals, although she was skeptical at first. She finally warmed up to the elephants and they ended up being her favorite. Andrew was also kind enough to let her ride the merry-go-round twice, she loved it.

4th of July
We had a fun weekend spending time with Andrew's family. On Saturday we went to the splash park where Addie and Owen had fun running around in the water. We went to Karma's later for a BBQ and some more water fun in the kiddie pool. Then we had a little fireworks show on the street before heading out to watch the city fireworks from Foremaster hill. Addie wasn't scared of the fireworks, but made sure to stand back and enjoy them from a distance.
