Last weekend we thought about going camping spontaneously and then really thought about all the work it is to go camping for one night and so we ended up at Pioneer Park. Addie loved climbing on all the rocks and exploring the rocky terrain. Andrew attempted rock climbing, but wasn't too successful. Actually he was trying to teach me how to take a photo and make him be a shadow or something...I failed as you can see in the below picture. We had a fun time even if it was really hot outside. We also enjoyed 25 cent Arctic Circle ice cream cones, gotta love the back to school specials.

Paint and Mimi's
While I was up visiting my family a few weeks ago, Andrew was busy doing projects of his own. When we got home he surprised us with a new paint job in Addie's room. We had discussed wanting to paint it before I left, but I had no idea he was going to do it all on his own. He picked out the colors and figured out the design himself, I think he did a great job. I am glad I didn't have to help too.
Addie has become quite attached to her mimi's-that is what she calls her binkis-so I decided she can only have them at naptime and bedtime. She is learning when she wakes up she has to throw them in the crib. I did not teach her the throwing game, she came up with it on her own. Addie likes to sneak into her room and get one out of the crib occasionally, but when she is caught she knows to throw it back in her crib. Today as I was cleaning up I found her in her crib laying down on her pillow just so she could have a binki. She found a way to climb in her crib for the binki, lovely.

Olympic Spirit
We have definitely been enjoying the Olympics here at our house. We stay up well past our bedtime to watch it every night and we don't want it to end. Addie even enjoys watching it and she was in the spirit tonight. We were watching women's platform diving and after each dive she would clap. She had her baby doll sitting next to her and she even clapped her baby's hands together. On one of the dives she said "whoa". I decided to get in the spirit with her and we popped popcorn and had a little party. Go USA.

Family Time
This past week Addie and I spent visiting her cousins, grandparents, aunts, and uncles up in Salt Lake area. We had so much fun and want to thank everyone who took time to hang out with us and help with Addie. We went shopping, out to lunch, to a few movies, a soccer scrimmage, Bean Museum, more shopping, Wheeler Farm, Thanksgiving Point and much more.
We were at my sister's house one day and Addie could not get enough of the red play car (in the pictures). She loved climbing in and out and being pushed around in it. She even had to eat her root beer float while sitting in the car. Addie also went swimming with her cousins and loved splashing them with the hose. She also thinks it is fun to jump and land on her bum in the pool.
We also went to Wheeler Farm with my parents. This was Addie's first time there and it was fun to see her reactions to the animals. She loved watching them through the fences and wasn't afraid of them at all. The animals were making all sorts of noises which made it extra exciting.
We finished our vacation by going to $2.00 Tuesdays at Thanksgiving Point. We went to the gardens which are so pretty and amazing to see all of the flowers. Addie again loved running around with her cousins and we had fun feeding the fish. Addie was so exhausted she slept most of the way home. We had such a great time and miss everyone already, but are glad to be home.
